2022-09-17 Welcome Back Dance
Our first post-Covid dance was held at the Shrine Club Hall. It was attended by 21 members who were all excited to visit with one another again. We started the dancing about 20 minutes late as the first priority was catching up with one another. Masks were worn by most as we want to keep the potential spread to a minimum especially among those who may be immunocompromised. This policy will be reviewed regularly as our dances progress.

2023-05-12 Coronation Dance
The CANUK Dance Club 2022-2023 season-ending dance, commemorating the Royal Coronation of King Charles III, began with “The King Charles Waltz”. “The King Charles Waltz” was written by British composer David Read to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III.
While putting the dance program together for the May 12 dance I (Brian McCracken) came across “The King Charles Waltz” on You Tube. I emailed the composer inquiring how to purchase this piece of music for use in our Coronation dance. David Read responded that he would send it to me for free if we were willing to send him a video recording of the CANUK Club dancers dancing to “The King Charles Waltz”. David will include our video in a montage to be sent to King Charles III.
Of course, the answer to this is YES!
Music was presented by Brian MCCracken. Mid evening snacks provided by Jim and Patsy Hase followed the royal theme. 20 dancers attended.
